Tunnow Docs
This is Tunnow Docs, a word game inspired by text editors. Make lists and use our algorithmic* suggestion tools to rephrase your texts and extend your lists with ease, so you can complete a "tunnow" documents!
(*No, don't worry, this project doesn't use generative AI in any way.)
Uses only the mouse; best played on a computer, but it works decently on a mobile device as well. Supports dark mode in the settings. Does not save your progress, unfortunately, but all levels can be easily unlocked without playing previous ones.
If you're stuck, don't worry! I have provided some hints in this post.
If you're still stuck, you can always ask for a hint on this post or come back later. Even if progress isn't saved, you can still access the level directly.
Made for the GMTK Game Jam 2026 with the theme "Count Down".

this absolutely rules and should be a full game, it has Parseword/cryptic crossword vibes in the sense of having a limited amount of operations that you need to recognise and correctly order
I almost feel like it wants to hint at its solving word rather than just giving it, closer to a cryptic. dunno how you'd implement that but would add another satisfying layer. maybe an image in a new tab/hinting at solution length?
thanks! and good observation, i am an enthusiast in cryptic crossword clues (i try making one every day of a random word in the r/crosswords subreddit), so i was probably inspired by those indirectly.
spoiler block
thanks for the idea about the word, but i think the game as it is is still pretty difficult. i mean, many of the levels effectively do hint at their solving word, because the solving word often comes after a rephrase. so for Level 3 (Addition), the answer isn't really server, but rather caterer. Level 12 (Viscount?)'s answer isn't really importantly; it's clearly vitally. it's tantamount to a definition in a cryptic crossword; the word means “importantly” and you need to figure out what word means that before submitting by using the Rephrase feature.
anyway, perhaps i could give different difficulty modes or something, but for now i’m going to err on the side of being easy and still fun. i think that’s the best decision because a lot of people struggled with the puzzles.
while not using any spoilerblock hints I did use and appreciate 9 and 12's title-as-effective-hint yeah
very fun and high quality work played through all levels really smoothly
I wish there were even more memesynonyms but I love all the nonsense that doesn't do anything that you can do in it
thanks! i definitely could and hopefully will extend this to have more puzzles. and yeah i just wanted it to be something where the rephrase feature seem like something more “complete” while at the same time having more jokes and memes in them. i’m happy that you noticed that aspect of the game.
also that’s why i made it so you can change the title of the levels just like you would an actual document, and it actually changes the name in the homepage. not sure about how noticeable it is, but it’s something i also thought would enhance the experience.
